What type of vacation rentals does Abaca Vacation Rentals offer?
We only provide gulf front vacation condos right on the beach from one, two and three bedrooms units. Each of our properties are completely furnished, including fully equipped kitchens and all have gulf front balconies. Each unit has a maximum occupancy. Please check with us prior to making a reservation.
Is renting from Abaca Vacation Rentals the same as renting direct from a homeowner?
When you call an individual homeowner, they may only offer one home or condo to you. The owner has a vested interest in renting their home or condo but very likely will not be readily available if you have any issues. We are licensed by the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulations, the Division of Hotels and Restaurants managing properties for individual owners on Navarre Beach. Abaca Vacation Rentals will listen to your needs, to fit you into a vacation rental that suits your unique requirements.
How old do you have to be to book a unit?
All reservations must have one adult 25 years of age or older staying in the unit at all times. Reservations made under false pretense will be subject to eviction and forfeit all monies paid in advance. We do not accept college-age groups at any time, for any reason. We reserve the right to refuse service if you have booked a unit and do not meet our age requirements.
How do we pay for our reservation?
You will be charged a $275.00 advance deposit when you book the reservation. Abaca Vacation Rentals will accept a full or partial payment at any time; however you must pay any remaining balance the week prior to check-in.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card or Discover at time of booking. , Travelers & Cashier’s checks, money orders (made payable to Abaca Vacation Rentals), or cash. No personal checks will be accepted as a form of payment anytime. We can not accept any form of payment from another guest staying in the unit.
Is there a damage deposit required?
All of our rentals require an additional $300 damage deposit. This deposit will NOT be deducted from your total rental fee; however it will be refunded after your departure (barring any losses or damages or exceeding maximum occupancy).
When will my damage deposit be refunded?
Deposits will be refunded within 2-3 weeks after your departure provided: There are no losses or damages to condo, furnishings or linens. All food items have been removed from the refrigerator. All garbage has been placed in outside trash containers. Dishes have been cleaned. All keys and property bands have been returned to Abaca vacation Rentals. Guest did not exceed maximum occupancy. How do I know what is maximum occupancy for the unit?
What ever the unit sleeps is the maximum occupancy and includes infants.
Where do we check-in?
You will check-in at our office, located at Summerwind West Resort (8573 Gulf Blvd. Suite 103, Navarre Beach, FL). Summerwind West is the third high rise building when you come across Navarre Beach Bridge. We are located on the first floor inside the Beach Store.
What time is check-in?
Check-in time is sometime between 3:00 p.m. CST and 5:00 p.m. CST.
What if I arrive early?
We will get you registered at the resort and you can enjoy the pool or beach. We will call you when your room is ready.
What is required at check-in?
The guest making the reservation must register with a valid driver’s license at check-in.
What time is check-out?
Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. CST. There are NO late check-outs allowed. A fee of one day’s rental will be charged for all departures after 10:00 a.m.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open 5 days a week, 9am CST thru 5pm CST in the off season.
During peak season (Memorial Day thru early August) we are open 9am CST thru 5pm CST, Monday-Saturday.
Are we able to check out early?
You may check out early, but we will not credit the remainder of your vacation.
We will be arriving late-night/early morning. What should I do?
Call us during regular business hours; we will make arrangements for a late check-in. You will need to be prepared to pay any remaining balance over the phone.
I noticed some 2 bedroom units at Summerwind Resort have a bunk room. What is a bunk room?
A bunk room is a room without a closet but has a door for privacy.
Do we need to bring our own sheets, towels, pillows, or other linens?
No. We provide a full set of sheets, pillows, and blankets for each bed, as well as for the pullout sleeper sofa (if there is one in the unit). We also provide enough bath towels to accommodate the maximum number of guests per room type, as well as hand and dishtowels for the kitchen.
We will start you with one roll of toilet paper bar soap per bathroom and one garbage bag per trash can. You will need to bring additional paper goods, trash can liners, laundry/dish detergent, hand soap, coffee filters and or any cleaning supplies you may want with you in addition to your food products.
We do not provide beach towels. Beach towels can be bought at the Beach Store located on site at the Summerwind West Resort.
Do you offer daily maid service?
No. Guests are provided with towels and linens for their stay. All units have a washer/dryer and guests are more than welcome to launder their towels and linens. All reservations will to subject to a onetime departure cleaning fee; price varies by unit size.
Do you provide beach chairs?
No. Beach chairs and umbrellas can be purchased at the Beach Store located on site at the Summerwind West Resort at check in or available for a fee from the beach service vendor located on site.
Are there any smoker-friendly units?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all units. No Exceptions. If we detect evidence of smoking after your departure you will be charged a $300 fine plus all charges related to cleaning, sanitizing and removing smoke from the furniture, carpets and draperies within the unit..
Are pets allowed in the units?
No, if you bring a pet into a unit, you will be subject to eviction, extra cleaning fees, and forfeiture of rent and deposit.
What if the unit I booked is no longer available?
In some rare instances, we have been in a position were a unit has been sold, removed from our rental program, or has mechanical problems. We reserve the right to change your reservation to comparable, or better, accommodations. Rates may vary and Abaca Vacation Rentals, Inc. shall have limited liability to a refund of any deposit or prepayment in these cases.
I lost my key!
In the event of lost keys there will be a $100 fee to re-key the door.
What if I left something behind in my room?
Call our office at 1-850-939-6888 and we will make arrangements to be shipped. You will be responsible for all shipping and handling cost.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
You may cancel your reservation at any time. Reservations made in advance must notify us no later than 30 days before your arrival and will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. If you need to cancel within 30 days of check-in you will forfeit your advance deposit.
What is the refund policy for hurricanes?
If there is a mandatory evacuation for the Navarre Beach area by the Santa Rosa County Emergency Operations Center, your money will be refunded for any days remaining on your reservation.
